World Cup champion and two-time European champion Sergio Ramos, together with the holding company Five Eleven Capital, has reached an agreement to acquire Sevilla FC, according to Spanish radio station COPE. The deal involves the purchase of 80% of the club’s shares for €450 million.

The 40-year-old footballer is a product of Sevilla’s youth academy. He played for the senior team from 2004 to 2005 and again from 2023 to 2024. During his time with Real Madrid, Ramos won five Spanish league titles and four Champions League trophies. With Paris Saint-Germain, he became a two-time French champion.
Ramos also claimed the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Championships with the Spanish national team. Currently, Sevilla sits 13th in La Liga with 40 points from 35 matches this season.
