Monaco is reportedly set to trigger the €11 million buy option attached to Ansu Fati’s loan from Barcelona. The 23-year-old has made a strong impression during his spell at the principality club, netting 11 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Monaco has already decided to exercise the purchase clause for the winger. Once viewed as the heir to Lionel Messi, Fati’s early career was stalled by a series of serious injuries. Barcelona will also include a future sell-on percentage clause in the deal, ensuring they receive a cut if Monaco transfers him later.
