Philadelphia Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet spoke about his team’s discipline problems after falling behind 3-0 in their second-round Stanley Cup series against the Carolina Hurricanes.
“We simply can’t take eight or nine penalties per game. It’s all about the rhythm of the game. I think, except for the first game, we looked pretty good against this team when playing five-on-five. The issues arise in other areas — even in four-on-four situations. They’re stronger than us in those scenarios. So we need to play our hockey, and that means discipline first and foremost,” Tocchet said.
