The 2026 NCAA softball tournament is set to begin following Sunday’s selection show, with the Lincoln Regional serving as an early battleground for Siouxland teams. The No. 4 seed Nebraska Huskers will host the regional pool, which includes South Dakota, Grand Canyon, and Louisville.
South Dakota will take on Nebraska on May 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the opening round. The other two teams, Grand Canyon and Louisville, will also compete in the double-elimination format for a chance to advance. Both Siouxland representatives will be in action during the first round in Lincoln.
